The album

I decided to give one of my American Crafts albums a makeover, so inspired by Liannes, from Sarah's cards I set to.

One plain album

Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Papers
Matching cardstock
Bazzil edges or edge puncher
Paindabber in Pitch Black
American Crafts ribbon
Chipboard letters
Cricut
Glue stick
Cutter
Black ink pad
Sanding tool
Flat varnish

1. Cut patterned paper into 3 inch squares
2. Ink edges in black
3. Lay out squares onto album cover until happy with effect
4. Cut a 12 inch by 3 inch piece out of matching cardstock
5. Glue down

Front cover

6. Trim the edge of the cardstock and top of album (for some reason there was a gap) with Bazzil edges or black cardstock, edged as you like
7. Sand/smooth edges
8. Ink edges of album using paint dabber

Back cover

9. Painted 'ME' chipboard letters with paint dabber (you could use Thickers etc)
10. Cut out the 'All about' letters from black cardstock using cricut
11. Two coats of flat dry varnish

12. Maya Road chipboard hearts covered in the patterned paper and edges inked with paint dabber
13. Length of ribbon to cover the seam

One finished album and happy with the effect. Now only 2 more to go!
